adolescent treatment

- Adolescence is the optimal time for orthodontic treatment although occasionally even earlier intervention (Phase I Treatment) is necessary. Generally by the age of 11-13, the baby teeth have all been lost and the permanent ones have mostly come in. At this time, we can evaluate and work on correcting the problems that cause a bad, unhealthy bite, crowding or poor alignment of teeth, and improper spacing.
- Important key to remember: orthodontic problems do not improve with age.
- It is easier to treat many orthodontic problems during adolescence because jaw growth is happening rapidly at this time. In later years, when the bones of the face and jaw are fully developed, many orthodontic problems become more difficult, longer, and costly to treat.
Patient Reviews
If you’re looking for a Dentist… Embrace Dental & Orthodontist is the place!! Not only is the staff friendly and welcoming, the Dentist are amazing!! FYI.. my 9 year old loves going to her appointments ❤️ Braces coming off today 💪🏻
I had my first appointment here on Friday and the staff was so nice and helpful! I was referred here by a co worker who also goes here and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Dr. Lee is so gentle and did an excellent deep cleaning. Nancy was also gentle with doing my X-rays and polishing me up! I’m excited to go back in 3 months for another cleaning!
Finally got around to finding a dentist and I have definitely found the right one. Very clean facility! Staff is welcoming and extremely polite. I was comfortable the moment I walked in. The entire visit was painless.
